WOMEN & GIRLS IN SPORT WEEK 2022 – Inspire

We are lucky to have many of our players invested in the next generation and being inspired to coach by others within the club.
 
Anna Bruce, a young player in our women’s squad, has also been with the club all her playing career. Anna is well on her way through the SFA coaching pathway, and is assistant coach with our mini kickers programmes as well as our Juniors on a Tuesday night. 👏💙⚽
 
About to start their coaching journey as well as continue playing their own football, Eilidh McDiarmid (18s NAP), Isla Booth (16s) both coaching within our Juniors.
 
We are thankful for the parent volunteers who support the club and assist the young coaches to be best they can be. 👏💙⚽
 
 

WOMEN & GIRLS IN SPORT WEEK 2022 – Inspire

Erin Cattanach also a very familiar face and club stalwart, having been at the club since age 5, a senior player for our Women, previously SWPL player and SWPL Young player of the year award winner.
 
Erin is also a valued lead coach with our Junior programme and has been involved in coaching different age groups throughout the years. Qualifying this year as a primary teacher after achieving a sports degree previously. Erin also gives up her spare time coaching at the club holiday camps. 👏💙⚽
 
 

WOMEN & GIRLS IN SPORT WEEK 2022 – Inspire

Senior player and coach Katie White spends many hours inspiring the next generation within the club. She has been inspired by many players around her over the years, including her sister Leah. Katie has her own playing successes, again starting age of 5, Katie has huge experience playing for the club, East Region regional squads and attending national camps.
 
Katie was selected to represent Scotland for Boys and Girls Clubs Scotland at both 15s and 17s age groups. Katie currently manages our Mini Kickers programme as well as working as coach for ANGUSalive. She has a great relationships with the kids and parents in the club inspiring many to love the game 👏💙⚽
 
 

WOMEN & GIRLS IN SPORT WEEK 2022 – Inspire

Cheryl Kilcoyne, a legend herself having played for many years, coming through the club pathway from juniors. Cheryl was involved in East Region youth regional squads at different age groups.
 
Cheryl continued to play in our development squad and then as a regular in SWPL squad for many years having played with many inspiring team mates and friends for life. Cheryl now a valued coach with our U10s. 👏💙⚽

Sophie Garrigan following in similar footsteps. Starting young, age 5, inspired by many Farmington Legends along the way including her mum Alison (currently club secretary). Sophie represents the club at East Region 16s Regional squads and recently took part in a Scottish Fa national games day.
 
Sophie also very proud to have represented Scotland squad at Boys and Girls Clubs Scotland at both 15s and 17s squad. Sophie currently plays for 18s NAP and received Players Player Award for 2021. Sophie has already started on her coaching journey completing her SFA 1.1 Introduction to Coaching, and is assistant coach within our minikickers programme as well as with our Juniors and club holiday camps.👏💙⚽
 
 

WOMEN & GIRLS IN SPORT WEEK 2022 – Inspire

Many of our senior players inspire our youth within the club. We are grateful for the part they play in the development of girls starting their journey on our pathway and for the many others who have inspired them along the way.
 
Celebrating success this week is a familiar face within the club, Leah White. She has completed the final stage of her UEFA C Licence. Leah has come through the club from our Juniors age 5, going on to compete in SWPL and currently 18sNAP as player/coach. Representing Scotland at Boys and Girls Clubs Scotland, at 15s and captained the 17s squad. Leah was also a coach for ANGUSalive for many years. Leah played a big part in the success of our Lisa Evan Soccer Centres for girls age 5-7, club holiday camps and is now also coach for our U10s.
