Lauren Perry – Available for sponsorship

Forfar Farmington new signing Lauren Perry is delighted to be called up to the Northern Ireland squad for the upcoming UEFA Women’s Championship qualifier against Faroe Islands on the 18th September. 

The 19 year old goalkeeper reflected on another positive landmark by saying, “It’s brilliant once again to get called up for your country & an absolute honour, it is going to be exciting again for myself & I can’t wait to meet up with the team. 

“It’s always healthy competition with the goalkeepers at Northern Ireland & I am looking forward to that, I am looking forward to meeting up with the girls again. 

“This week will be a big week at training prior to going away & training with the squad next week in preparation for that Faroe Islands game, I need to make sure I am ready & prepared for camp.”

Looking back on her time at Forfar Farmington since arriving, she reflected & said, “It’s been really exciting for myself, the girls have all been welcoming & Forfar as a town is really nice as well, I am keen to progress my game ahead of the Motherwell game in October. 

“The standard of the league was what enticed me to come to Scotland, the SWPL is going in a positive direction & it’s improving all the time, various teams around the league have now gone professional. 

“I also knew the head coach Ryan McConville from back home in Northern Ireland who was able to persuade me that moving to Scotland was the right decision to make. 

“A professional contract is always something i’ve wanted, hopefully we can go & make a good account of ourselves in the league this season.

“I am looking to help the team out as much as possible when we get back playing, the aim is to have as much clean sheets as possible alongside picking up some points, we are looking for a good league finish. 

“I’m only 19 however I have a good football CV & loads of experience such as Champions League, Internationals, I am looking to bring that experience to the team which would in turn help the team out when possible. 

“There is healthy competition in the goalkeeping department at present, it’s something I am enjoying & hopefully we can bring each other on, I can’t wait for the new season to begin

Lisa Ryan – Available for sponsorship

Forfar Farmington new signing Lisa Ryan has enjoyed her 1st week at the club & is really excited about the season ahead in the SWPL1 citing that the professional culture that is being developed into the SWPL was a big factor in her decision to join Farmington. 

Ryan said, “It’s been a great 1st week & the girls have been really welcoming, the coaching has been great & there is a lot of experience in that coaching as well, the standard of the players has been high as well, I am excited to get back onto the pitch & get playing again & we are hoping for a good season. 

“The leagues getting redeveloped at the moment with a lot of teams around the league making some big signings & more teams are becoming professional now so the game is growing in Scotland, playing in the SWPL1 gives me a great opportunity to develop as a footballer & also Forfar is a fantastic place. 

“I have heard some great things about the club & the people around the club, we have players coming in who have International & World Cup experience. 

“It’ll be great to play alongside & against those players, I am looking to improve as a player this season & hopefully do well against the bigger sides in the league although the main aim is to get some points on the board & stay up. 

“I am looking to use pre-season as a means of getting to know the players, we are looking to bond as a team & get to know everyone’s style of play alongside getting used to the coaching staff’s style of play, it’s all about creating those bonds & building prior to the season starting in October. 

“The competition in the team is very healthy, every position on the field is covered so you always have competition which will bring out the best in the players & bring our standard as a team higher.

Delighted to announce new signing Lauren Perry subject to International Clearance.  19 year old Lauren, a goalkeeper who has made 6 appearances for the NI national team, most notable ‘Player of the Match’ in her debut against Norway. Lauren, who has UEFA Champions league experience and comes from playing in the WSL 2 with Blackburn Rovers.

Head Coach Ryan McConville comments “I am delighted to finish off our recruitment drive with such a talented signing, Lauren is a GK with so much talent and experience for such a young player, she is a fantastic shot stopper and is a real modern day GK being good with her feet. We have already one of the best GK’s in the country in Fiona McNicoll and a great up and coming GK in Beth Mowatt (U19s NPL). Lauren adds to the quality in this department and now our squad has strength and depth all over the park, I can’t wait to welcome her to Station Park.”

The club are delighted to announce the second signing this week of another Scotland U19’s squad player, local Monifieth girl Eirinn McCafferty.

Eirinn started her football career at a very young age with Monifieth FC where she captained the team. She received players player, managers player, most improved and goal of the season during her final few seasons there before signing for Dundee United. Eirinn continued winning trophies whilst with the tangerines where at the age of 15 she won Players Player of the year whilst the team won 2 leagues and the league cup.

Recognised for her outstanding talent Eirinn was selected for Scotland U19’s squad to go to Croatia at age 17 before taking up a scholarship in America at Queens University of Charlotte, North Carolina in 2018.

Forfar Farmington Head Coach Ryan McConville said, “we are delighted to sign another young talented local girl of the calibre of Eirinn McCafferty, as we look to compete at the highest level in Scottish Women’s football this year”.

The club are delighted to announce the signing of Scotland youth international Leah Fleming who returns to Farmington after a five year spell at St Johnstone.

A local girl, 18 year old Leah can play anywhere on the left hand side and is looking forward to testing herself in the SWPL1.

Her performances at Saints caught the eye of Scotland coach Pauline MacDonald and she made her debut for the SWNT u17s in Sept 2017 v Slovenia playing eight times up to March 2018 before gaining an u19 cap v Netherlands in March 2019.

The club are delighted to announce the signing of 21 year old midfielder, Haley Kern from Oregon, USA.

Haley a student at Duncan of Jordanstone, Dundee played for the first women’s Academy team in the US, known as the Portland Thorns Academy (Located in Portland Oregon). She then moved to play two years for Highline community college where they became 2017 Northwest Athletic Conference champions.

Haley has been involved with youth coaching in the states where she was assistant coach and referee. 

She is looking forward to the challenge ahead  moving into next season playing for Forfar Farmington as we look to secure our place in SWPL1 football next season.

The club are delighted to announce the signing of 26 year old striker, Charlotte Gammie from Division 1 Montrose Ladies FC.

Charlotte started her footballing career in the Middle East where she played for Qatar Ladies National team before leaving Doha in 2012 to go to Abertay University Dundee. After a break from football to concentrate on her degree, Charlotte joined the newly formed Montrose Ladies FC in 2017.

Last season as top goal scorer for the club with an impressive 41 league goals Charlotte was instrumental in the clubs success securing promotion to Division 1 in only their second season and this year securing a middle table finish and guaranteed football in Division 1 next year. Charlotte also won the 2018 SWFL Div 2 player of the year award for her hard work and commitment.

Charlotte is ready for the challenge ahead and is looking forward to playing for Forfar Farmington in the top tier in Scottish football, as they strive to secure SWPL1 football next season.
