Celeste & Beth, both defenders, previously played at Kirrie Thistle CFC whilst Isla, an attacking midfielder, joins from Arbroath CSC.

One of the 14s coaches, Jeff Rioch commented : “We are thrilled to have Celeste, Beth & Isla on board as we transition to 11 a side football this year. They’ve been training for a few weeks now and it was great to see them make their debuts in the pre-season friendly last weekend. They all did very well and have settled in really quickly to the squad”.

He then looked ahead to season 2022 : “It’’s a great challenge going from 7 a side to 11 a side on the bigger pitch and the squad have been training really well since we started back in the first week of January. It was great to get minutes into their legs in our first friendly of the season and with 3 more lined up we’ll hopefully be in good shape for the league starting in mid February. The new faces , competition for places all over the pitch and adapting to 11 a side have brought freshness and intensity to training and the whole squad are working very hard – we’re looking forward to seeing them develop over 2022”.
