Youngsters at Forfar Farmington have recently received a cash boost from a Scotland-wide community funding initiative.
The club has received funding through the Ross and Liddell community bursary scheme – a project which provides support to organisations all over the country.
The funding received from the property specialist will be used to buy new training equipment and balls helping the club grow and reach more youngsters across the region.
Nicola McBride, Forfar Farmington’s under 9s coordinator and child protection officer said: “We are very grateful for this bursary award, we have an increased number of girls joining the club aged five which is fantastic, girls football is a big part of Forfar’s Community. We are going to use the money to buy new balls and small goals for our under7/9s training sessions.”
Now in its sixth year, the Ross and Liddell community bursary scheme was launched to provide support to organisations across Scotland that are making a vital difference in their communities and Farmington are one of 32 groups to receive funding in the 2016/17 bursary scheme.

“It’s so important that organisations like Forfar Farmington Football Club have access to funding to support the growth of girls and women’s football across Scotland.”
“We’re thrilled to offer our support and we hope that the funding will be of great benefit to the group.”
